Temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term potential Competitive starting pay beginning at $24.00/hour, with higher pay based on experience Monday-Friday schedule Opportunity to join a respected transportation operation where your experience and decision-making skills directly impact daily success Fast-paced role for someone who enjoys transportation planning, fleet coordination, and customer communication What You'll Do Coordinate daily transportation operations in a fast-paced office environment Plan and schedule outbound freight to maximize efficiency Coordinate return loads and identify opportunities to optimize equipment utilization Monitor freight load boards to secure additional loads and maintain equipment productivity Communicate regularly with customers, brokers, and drivers to ensure timely deliveries and resolve issues Track detention time and work with customers and brokers to ensure proper documentation and billing Assist with transportation challenges, including equipment breakdowns and scheduling adjustments Issue and track driver and operational payments Follow established operational procedures while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Collaborate with the operations team to ensure exceptional customer service and on-time performance What We're Looking For 10+ years of over-the-road transportation or logistics experience required Strong understanding of transportation operations, routing, and equipment planning Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service, and Electronic Logging Devices Experience using Transportation Management Systems Brokerage experience is a plus Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Outstanding communication and customer service skills Ability to remain calm, professional, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment Flexible, adaptable, and committed to working as part of a collaborative team Work Environment This position works in a fast-paced transportation office environment where priorities can shift quickly. The Operations Coordinator will communicate regularly with customers, brokers, drivers, and internal team members to support on-time performance, resolve issues, and keep freight moving efficiently.
