Job Description
Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for issuing and tracking purchase orders, receiving incoming materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and strong vendor relationships. Key Responsibilities Create and manage purchase orders based on inventory needs and sales activity Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, delivery dates, and order accuracy Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders Record incoming goods and report discrepancies or damaged materials Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure products are stocked and available Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock adjustments Maintain working knowledge of product lines and vendor terms Follow company safety procedures and quality standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Previous purchasing, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred Strong attention to detail and accuracy Good communication and vendor-coordination skills Basic math and computer skills; experience with inventory or purchasing software a plus Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented Work Environment Fast-paced warehouse and office environment Regular interaction with vendors and internal departments Benefits Competitive hourly pay Health and dental insurance paid by employer 401(k) with employer matching Paid Time Off Vision insurance Employee discounts on paint and supplies Opportunities for training and advancement No weekends
