Job Title:
Shipping Technician I Job Description The Shipping Technician I picks, packs, and ships supplement and vitamin products in a fast-paced, FDA-regulated warehouse environment. In this role, you work at a dedicated station, stand for the full shift, lift and push up to 50 pounds, and process up to 300 packages per day while maintaining exceptional accuracy. You use computers, email, and ERP software to confirm orders, generate labels, and scan and verify shipments for carriers such as FedEx and USPS. Responsibilities Pick and pack orders accurately in a warehouse environment. Process up to approximately 300 packages per day while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Stand at an assigned station for the entire shift and consistently empty two small carts per hour once fully trained. Lift, carry, and push boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily tasks. Use a computer at the workstation to confirm orders, generate shipping labels, and update order status in the ERP system. Read and write emails using Microsoft Outlook to communicate and receive instructions. Scan and verify products and shipments to ensure order accuracy and proper labeling. Follow established Distribution Department procedures, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and SOPs in an FDA-approved, clean-room warehouse environment. Handle FedEx and USPS shipments, ensuring correct packaging, labeling, and documentation. Maintain a high attention to detail to ensure orders, labels, and documentation are correct. Prioritize accuracy while working efficiently in a time-sensitive, fast-paced setting. Support warehouse operations as a warehouse worker, focusing on picking, packing, and shipping tasks. Maintain consistent attendance and reliability as part of a small, closely coordinated team. Essential Skills Previous picking or packing experience in a warehouse or similar environment. Ability to lift and push up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Basic computer skills, including the ability to confirm orders and create labels using a computer. Ability to read and write emails using Microsoft Outlook. Experience using ERP systems or ERP software in a warehouse or distribution setting. Attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, labeling, and scanning orders. Familiarity with GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures). Basic math skills to support order processing and verification. Problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues related to orders, labels, and shipments. Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Capability to scan and verify products and shipments using warehouse tools and systems. Comfort standing for an entire shift at a designated workstation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working in an FDA-regulated or pharmaceutical-related facility. Warehouse experience handling FedEx and USPS shipping. Knowledge of cGMPs (current Good Manufacturing Practices) in a distribution or warehouse setting. Comfort working in a clean-room atmosphere with strict procedural compliance. Ability to meet onboarding assessments for basic math and computer skills. Willingness to grow within a structured technician level system (Shipping Technician Levels 1, 2, and 3). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Benicia, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
