The shipping clerk is responsible for recording shipping orders on the computer system, labeling items and packing items into containers for shipping. Schedule Monday - Friday 9am to 6pm $14 to $15/
HR Qualifications :
Computer Skills Shipping/Receiving Experience in Warehouse Setting Organizational skills Multitasking Attention to details Good communication abilities
Physical Requirements:
Able to lift up to 35 pounds. Able to work in a standing position for long periods of time Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs to be able to lift, balance, walk, stoop and handling of materials in general
Duties:
Preparing paperwork for shipments Packaging items and products Checking orders for accuracy Tracking and updating the status of shipments Operating warehouse equipment Handling incoming shipments Verifying inventory Inspecting proper labeling before moving the products to the storage areas Evaluates incoming inventory to ensure that product received from vendors is accurate in both quantity and identification Ensures that all boxes/bags have proper part number identification prior to moving to stock Loads/unloads materials to/from pallets, racks, and shelves by hand Understands and follows both verbal and written directions Complies with all general safety policies and procedures Performs other duties as assigned
