Job Description
Run the will call counter at a growing cabinet distributor in Bolingbrook. Contractors and dealers pull up to our counter and need the right cabinets and hardware, counted, checked, and loaded so their crew can keep working. That is your counter to run. You will stage orders out of the warehouse queue and have walk-ins ready inside two hours. You will verify every pickup against the order before it leaves, photograph it, and close it out in our system. When something is short or wrong, you catch it at the counter instead of letting it become a callback from a jobsite. This is a hands-on job. You will be on your feet, picking accessories, packing orders, checking counts, and talking to customers all day. If you move fast and still get the details right, you will do well here. What you will do Stage and prioritize will call orders so walk-ins are ready within two hours Verify every pickup for accuracy and resolve any discrepancy before the order is released Photograph and document orders, and keep records current in our order system Pick accessories, pack orders, and run quality checks Keep the counter, equipment, and staging area clean, stocked, and safe What you bring High school diploma or GED 2+ years in will call, order fulfillment, shipping and receiving, or a customer-facing warehouse role A track record of accuracy with orders, counts, and paperwork Comfort with Outlook and Excel, and willingness to learn new systems Reliable attendance. The counter cannot be left uncovered Nice to have SharePoint experience. We will train you Bilingual English and Spanish Cabinetry, millwork, or building products background Forklift or pallet jack experience Physical requirements Regularly lift up to [50] pounds, stand and walk on concrete for most of an 8 hour shift, and bend, reach, and climb to access stock. This is a safety sensitive position in an active warehouse with powered equipment.
