Full-Time Join Our Team We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Order Entry Specialist to join our growing lumber and building materials team. This position plays a key role in ensuring customer orders are entered accurately and processed efficiently to support timely deliveries to contractors, builders, retailers, and homeowners. The ideal candidate is organized, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and has strong communication and customer service skills. Experience in the lumber or building materials industry is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Accurately enter customer orders into the order management system. Review orders for pricing, product availability, quantities, and delivery details. Work closely with the sales team, purchasing, yard personnel, and dispatch to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. Communicate with customers regarding order status, product availability, and delivery schedules. Resolve order discrepancies and make necessary adjustments. Maintain accurate customer records and order documentation. Assist with processing quotes, returns, credits, and special orders as needed. Support inventory accuracy by reporting product or order issues. Work on special projects as needed Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in order entry, customer service, administrative support, or a related office role. Excellent attention to detail and data entry accuracy. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Team-oriented with a positive, customer-focused attitude. Preferred Experience in the lumber, building materials, construction, or home improvement industry. Familiarity with lumber products, millwork, plywood, engineered wood products, or other building materials. Experience using ERP or inventory management systems. Knowledge of construction terminology and common building products.
