Clerk, Full-Time ABF Freight System, Inc. - 3.5 Allentown, PA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Computer operation Computer literacy High school diploma or GED Productivity software Full Job Description Job Description The Clerk assists the Service Center and performs any combination of clerical duties. Responsibilities Type or enter information into computer to prepare correspondences. Prepare, issue and send out receipts, bills, policies, invoices, statements and checks. Issues licenses, permits, certificates, writs or other legal documents and/or titles. Receive money from customers, deposit money in bank and handle petty cash, as needed. Open and route incoming mail, answer correspondences and prepare outgoing mail. Answer telephone calls, convey messages and run errands. Stamp or number forms by hand or machine and photocopy documents. Proofread records or forms, sort and file records and index records and information. Tabulate and post data in record books. Transfer information from reports, code numerically and post to prepared code sheet, ledger or journal. Compute wages, taxes, premiums, commissions and payments. Count, weigh, check, analyze, measure and/or classify materials. Conduct limited research as requested. Maintain a highly positive attitude in a highly intense environment. Work in a team setting to accomplish department goals. Other duties and projects, as assigned.
Requirements Education:
High School Diploma / GED, required
Experience:
Prior experience in billing, collections, tracing, OSD and the transportation industry, preferred Prior experience in data entry and other clerical skills
Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required
Additional Requirements:
Ability to operate various office equipment, required
Other Details Work Hours:
Generally Monday through Friday, evening, and daytime shifts. Must be willing to work evenings and on an as-needed basis.
Travel Requirements:
Minimal (0%-25%)
