Job Description :
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Order Selector to join our team in Jersey Village, NW Houston. In this position, you will split your time between operating a forklift and manually carting orders, ensuring the accurate selection and preparation of products for shipment.
Key Responsibilities :
Order Selection (50%) : Accurately pick products from shelves using a cart, following the order sheet to ensure correct items, quantities, and locations. Forklift Operation (50%) : Safely operate a forklift to move pallets, stack products, and load/unload items as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all items are stored in the correct locations. Ensure proper handling of products to prevent damage during selection, transportation, and storage. Meet daily production and quality goals for order selection, ensuring timely and efficient fulfillment. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines for both carting and forklift operation. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to resolve issues and ensure smooth workflow. Perform other tasks as needed to support warehouse operations.
Qualifications :
Previous experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Physical ability to lift, carry, and move products of various sizes and weights (up to 50 lbs). Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks. Must be comfortable working with both manual carting and forklift duties. A valid forklift certification is a plus Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Working Conditions :
