The position is full-time 8:00 am to 5:30pm M-F. We are a family owned food distribution company offering a friendly and safe work environment seeking a career minded individual with stable work history and desire to grow. Job Overview In this role, you'll be the driving force behind efficient order picking and team coordination in a busy warehouse setting. Your leadership will help ensure that orders are accurately assembled and picked on time, keeping our operations running smoothly. Duties Order selecting- Accurately, safely and efficiently select merchandise from shelves and other storage areas, accurately apply labels on product, and ensure orders are properly stacked, sequenced, and securely wrapped. Lead order selectors, providing clear instructions and support to meet daily picking targets, while pulling your own orders. Oversee and execute the accurate selection of products from inventory, ensuring all items match order specifications. Maintain a safe and organized work environment by enforcing safety protocols and housekeeping standards. Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize workflow and improve efficiency. Conduct regular quality checks on picked orders to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. Assist in training new team members on proper picking procedures and safety practices. Use warehouse management systems to track order progress and report any discrepancies or issues promptly. Qualifications Experience in order selecting in a food distribution setting, preferred. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively. Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order picking and reporting. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members and management. Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in warehouse settings is a plus. Proficiency with electric pallet jacks, rider jacks (single and double), sit down fork lift, and reach trucks.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
