Trade-Wind is looking for a talented and motivated Packing Assistant to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities Inspecting items for damage or missing parts before packing Selecting appropriate boxes and packing materials to protect products in transit Wrapping and arranging items in containers to prevent movement or breakage Sealing packages securely and applying accurate shipping labels Using packing tools such as tape guns, box cutters and shrink wrap machines Maintaining a clean and organized packing area for safety and efficiency Weighing packed boxes and recording shipping information Reporting issues such as damaged goods or low stock to supervisors All other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs Ability to walk, bend, stand, reach and move throughout most of the shift Qualifications Attention to detail to ensure orders are packed accurately Hand-eye coordination for handling and wrapping items safely and efficiently Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to company procedures Teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with warehouse staff and supervisors Dependable and punctual Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, packing or shipping environment preferred but not required. Experience operating pallet jacks is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus, but not required. Education High school diploma or GED, required Compensation & Benefits Starting pay range is $17.00 per hour, depending on your current skill set (60-day review period) PTO - 2 weeks time annually accrued 8-10 Paid holidays, depending on the year Weekly paychecks Medical, vision, dental insurance 401(k) matching Schedule Warehouse hours are M-F, 7:30am until 4:00pm with a 30-minute lunch break.
