Job Description

Summary/Objective Sort, handle and package various produce products, to meet customer and order specifications. Sorting is responsible for functions required in the effective implementation of repacking policies and procedures. This includes but not limited to sorting for quality, picking and staging orders, lot tagging orders after picking, sanitation of tables and conveyor belts, box assembly, completing sanitation logs, FIFO, rotation, food safety, safety. Follow established food and employee safety guidelines as well as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Follow established sanitation processes for employees and work area. Maintain and adhere to first in, first out (FIFO) procedures. Performs prescribed preventive maintenance on machines as required per periodic maintenance PM charts. Perform container/box assembly and breakdown old boxes/containers as needed. Effectively assess, sort and pack produce following implemented procedures; ensuring that all the required specifications are met. Separate product #2's and rotten produce in the correct containers Label and lot tag sorted produce and assemble customer orders. Work well with others in a team-oriented environment Report all accidents experienced or witnessed immediately to the Operations Line Lead Core Competencies Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Food Safety Learning Orientation Thoroughness Teamwork Orientation Performance Management Results Driven Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are dependent on operational needs and may vary, Monday through Saturday, 12:01 a.m. to midnight. The employee is required to be available as scheduled and may be required to be available for extended hours. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience A high school diploma or its equivalent. Position experience may be substituted to meet the educational requirements using a 2:1 ratio where 2 years' experience equals 1-year education.

$16.90 per hour
