Job Title:
Warehouse Worker - Receiving Department Job Description Join a fast-paced, clean warehouse environment where you help move critical products ranging from personal protective equipment to educational laboratory tools. In this receiving-focused role, you operate material handling equipment, process customer orders, and ensure inventory accuracy so that essential items reach customers safely and on time. You work closely with a team, follow established safety and operating procedures, and take pride in contributing to work that supports a healthier, cleaner, and safer world. Responsibilities Receive, pick, pack, and ship customer orders accurately and on schedule in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Operate a cherry picker safely and efficiently to access and move products within the warehouse. Palletize and wrap no fewer than 13 pallets per shift to meet operational productivity standards. Load outgoing trucks carefully and accurately to ensure orders ship complete and damage-free. Use RF scanner guns to pull orders, verify item accuracy, and update inventory records in real time. Package and label shipments according to standard operating procedures, including documentation for hazardous materials when required. Store inventory properly to maintain organization, product integrity, and safety within the warehouse. Lift, carry, and push up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally while performing daily tasks. Stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach for extended periods to complete receiving, picking, packing, and shipping activities. Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail when handling products, documentation, and labels. Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to equipment operating procedures. Collaborate with team members to meet department goals while also working independently to solve problems quickly. Complete required drug testing and documentation processes, including providing proof of high school education. Essential Skills At least 1 year of experience operating a cherry picker forklift in a warehouse environment. Proficiency using RF scanner guns for order picking and inventory management. Hands-on experience with order pulling, packaging, inventory handling, picking, material handling, pallet jack operation, and shipping and receiving. Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods, including walking, stooping, bending, and reaching. Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 70 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally. Strong accuracy and attention to detail when processing orders, labeling, and documenting shipments. Ability to read and write in English to follow written procedures, labels, and safety documentation. Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet productivity expectations. Capability to work effectively as part of a team while also performing tasks independently. Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to provide a copy or transcript. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with hazardous materials documentation and labeling according to standard operating procedures. Previous experience in a high-volume distribution or fulfillment center environment. Familiarity with multiple warehouse process paths such as receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. Comfort using pallet jacks and other material handling equipment in a busy warehouse setting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities. Work Environment This role is based in a very clean, fast-paced warehouse setting within the receiving department, typically operating Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with overtime available after standard hours as needed. You work on the warehouse floor for most of your shift, standing, walking, stooping, bending, and reaching frequently. You regularly operate a cherry picker, pallet jacks, and RF scanner guns, and you handle palletizing, wrapping, and loading trucks. The facility follows structured standard operating procedures, including specific requirements for packaging and labeling, especially for hazardous materials. The work involves frequent lifting of up to 70 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds. Safety is a priority, and steel-toed boots are required as part of the dress code, along with appropriate warehouse attire suited for active, hands-on work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out ofCHINO, CA.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
