Job Description
ProHarvest Seeds is a family-owned, ag-related, small business. We are growing and are looking for team players to join our staff! We are seeking a person to work in our production and warehouse processes. Seed Packaging Assistant The duties of this role include monitoring seed cleaning equipment, filling paper bags up to 66 pounds with seed using semi-automatic equipment, filling bulk bags and boxes, setting up labeling equipment, confirming that packages are labeled correctly, confirming inventory quantities, and maintenance of equipment. Other activities include washing of plastic boxes and repairs, setting up and collapse boxes, assist with deliveries and returns, and annual maintenance and improvements. Deliveries would be primarily around planting season and returns of empty packaging. Although this is an ag-related position, this is a full-time, year-round position. This position will also require the ability to lift 40-70 pounds regularly, attention to detail, and strong basic math skills.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have great multitasking abilities that can handle multiple tasks at one time, even if overwhelmed, as tasks can adjust daily.
- Be a quick learner.
- Know that drama and insubordination are not tolerated.
- Have common sense, the ability to act quickly when random things arise, and a hard worker.
- Skills for maintenance, mechanical, carpentry, etc.
- Complete packaging of seed, operating and adjusting machinery as needed
- Strive for 100% accuracy of labeling and inventory
- Assist with all production and warehouse activities associated with soybeans, oats, and wheat
- Assist with stacking pallets away after wrapping
- Routine and annual maintenance as needed, basic mechanical, construction, or electrical skills
- Unloading of inbound trucks as needed
- Assist in any other aspects of the farm or seed operations as needed
- Maintain a safe and productive work environment
- Assist with in season seed deliveries and returns
- Assist with cleaning and maintenance of seed boxes

- Experience running large farm machinery preferred
- Willing to climb ladders or grain legs as needed
- Willing to work longer hours as needed

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
