KITTING & PACKING ASSOCIATE
Build it right. Pack it smart. Help every order arrive ready to go.
Location:
Sterling Heights, Michigan | In person
Schedule:
Full-time or part-time | Monday-Friday A hands-on role where the details matter Looking for more than a typical job? Join ShipTrex, a growing, technology-driven third-party logistics company, and gain practical experience in fulfillment, inventory, quality control, and warehouse operations. You will assemble product kits, verify every component, and pack orders so they arrive complete, accurate, and customer-ready. This is a great fit for someone who likes organized, active work; takes pride in getting things right; and wants experience that translates to careers in supply chain, operations, business, manufacturing, or logistics. What you will do Assemble product kits by following work instructions, order specifications, and quality standards. Count, sort, label, and organize products and components with close attention to detail. Verify that each kit includes the correct items and quantities before it moves to packing. Pack completed kits and customer orders safely, neatly, and efficiently for parcel or freight shipment. Print and apply labels, prepare shipping materials, and confirm order information for accuracy. Stock the kitting line with the correct inventory and keep materials organized throughout production. Use scanners, tablets, computers, packing equipment, and warehouse-management software to process work. Keep the work area clean and safe while following company procedures and quality expectations. Pitch in on other fulfillment projects as customer and business needs change. What will help you succeed Strong attention to detail and the patience to double-check your work. A dependable, positive approach and willingness to learn. Ability to stay organized and productive in a fast-moving environment. Comfort working independently and collaborating with a team. Basic confidence using computers or tablets; experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office is helpful. Warehouse, retail, production, shipping, or fulfillment experience is helpful but not required. Physical requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the workday. Ability to lift and move up to 55 pounds safely. Why ShipTrex? You will work with a supportive team, modern logistics technology, and real customer orders—not busywork. It is an opportunity to build practical skills, see how products move from inventory to shipment, and make an immediate impact through accuracy and teamwork.
