This individual is responsible for executing precise packaging assignments, including measuring, filling, sealing, and label application with strict SOPs and compliance standards. The role also supports real-time material handling, quality checks, and final packaging prep for shipping. As the first line of defense in quality assurance, Packager I ensures every product is cleanly packed, properly labeled, and meets both internal and state-regulated specifications before it leaves the facility. This role is ideal for candidates who thrive on structure, repetition, and getting the details exactly right. Key Responsibilities Packaging Operations Execute assigned tasks including weighing, filling, sealing, labeling, and final assembly of products Accurately apply state-mandated labels, tamper seals, and child-resistant components Follow established SOPs and safety protocols with precision Set up and clean down packaging stations at start/end of shift Quality Assurance Perform in-process visual checks for correct labeling, clean seals, and accurate weights Flag any discrepancies or defects immediately to the Packaging Lead Maintain cleanliness and organization to minimize contamination risk Inventory & Materials Handling Count and organize jars, bags, inserts, cones, shrink sleeves, and other components Track material usage and report any damaged or miscounted supplies Minimize waste and follow FIFO procedures Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate log entries under guidance from Packaging Lead Adhere to state compliance standards for cannabis packaging, including METRC labeling protocols (when applicable) Support recordkeeping through batch labeling and tracking procedures Team Communication Participate in daily huddles to understand priorities and output targets Communicate needs, errors, or shortages promptly Work collaboratively with cross-functional team members in a fast-paced environment Required Qualifications Must be at least 21 years old (per cannabis industry regulations) At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 35 lbs, and perform repetitive motions High attention to detail with a low tolerance for error Strong time management and consistency in pace and output Willingness to follow SOPs and structured feedback Dependable, calm under pressure, and team-oriented.
