Position Summary The Job Picker / Kitting & Receiving Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily flow of materials throughout the facility, with a primary focus on picking and preparing parts for machine orders and a secondary focus on receiving and putting inventory and materials away. The majority of the position will be dedicated to accurately pulling and organizing parts required for machine orders and preparing complete kits for the assembly team. In addition, the employee will work daily alongside the Receiving and Inventory team to receive incoming materials, verify shipments, enter receipts into Epicor, and ensure inventory is properly organized and put away. This position will be cross-trained to provide backup coverage for both Job Picking/Kitting and Receiving/Inventory functions. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between responsibilities throughout the day based on production and inventory needs. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and able to efficiently manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse and manufacturing environment. Essential Functions Job Picking & Kitting Review machine orders and accurately pick all required parts from inventory. Prepare and organize complete kits of parts for the assembly team. Ensure all parts pulled match job specifications and required quantities. Use the company's ERP system (Epicor) to review job orders and locate required parts. Monitor inventory levels while picking orders and report low stock levels, shortages, or discrepancies. Communicate with the Inventory Manager and assembly team regarding part availability and discrepancies. Maintain accurate organization of parts and materials within the warehouse or stockroom. Ensure completed kits are organized and ready for the assembly team in a timely manner. Receiving & Inventory Work daily with the Receiving and Inventory team to support the receipt and organization of incoming materials. Serve as a cross-trained backup to the primary Receiving Associate. Receive and verify incoming shipments, ensuring quantities and items match packing slips and purchase orders. Safely unload incoming shipments using a forklift or pallet jack. Enter received items accurately into the ERP system(Epicor). Unpack and put away inventory and materials in their proper locations. Maintain accurate organization and inventory records throughout the facility. Identify and communicate receiving or inventory discrepancies to the Inventory Manager. Assist with inventory organization and general warehouse activities throughout the day. Assist with outbound shipments and packaging of customer part sales orders as needed. Prepare and package return shipments to vendors, including required documentation. Qualifications High attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to accurately read and interpret job orders, pick lists, packing slips, and other inventory documentation. Experience using an ERP system, preferably Epicor, or willingness to learn. Forklift experience preferred; ability and willingness to become forklift certified if required. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with inventory, receiving, and assembly teams. Previous warehouse, inventory, receiving, or picking experience preferred but not required. Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Ability to work efficiently while moving between multiple responsibilities throughout the day. Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and support multiple areas of the operation. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 50 pounds frequently. Ability to stand and walk continuously throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and lifting required. Ability to safely handle and move materials in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. Ability to safely operate or become trained to operate a forklift and pallet jack. Work Environment This position works primarily in a warehouse and manufacturing environment. The environment may include exposure to moving mechanical parts, equipment, and moderate noise levels. Proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required depending on the work area.
