Candy Packer — Daytime Hours, Part-Time or Full-Time Job title Candy Packer — Daytime Hours, Part-Time or Full-Time Description We're hiring candy packers now — and through our busy holiday season. Butterfields Candy, a family-owned candy maker in Nashville, NC (handcrafted since 1924), is looking for reliable packers to join our team. You'll weigh, pack, seal, and label our candy, record batch numbers, and keep your area clean. Hours are Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM — no nights, no weekends. Part-time or full-time. A good fit if you're looking for steady daytime work that fits around a family or school schedule. We'll train you. You should be dependable, on time, comfortable on your feet, and able to lift up to 50 lbs. Hairnet and gloves provided. Pay is $14.00 an hour to start , plus a quarterly bonus for good attendance. com Position responsibilities:
Alternating with candy production batches, run candy packaging batches for varied packaging sizes and flavors per production schedule. Be able to keep a fast pace while packing and make sure all packages are accurately weighed and calibrated. Document and record lot numbers and finished product lot numbers, complete production log information for each batch. Document, inspect and verify inventories and packaging supplies against planned production schedule. Request timely material and supply orders as needed. Monitor and inspects candy packaging for accuracy and done in a timely way Comply with Company Quality, HACCP, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety standards. Comply with Company Production policies. Strictly adhere to formulas and procedures. Maintain production areas to be clean and free of waste accumulation perform general equipment and area cleaning and assist in maintenance of area and machines.
Position requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent, basic mathematical skills Experience in food production environment, previous candy making experience preferred but not necessary Food Safety Certification or equivalent Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform) Stand on concrete floor for shift duration, perform continues physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs Strong listening skills and ability to follow direction •
