Job Description
Valdese Weavers is a 100% employee-owned (ESOP) company and has been in business for over 100 years. As one of the largest woven textile mills in the world, Valdese Weavers designs and manufactures residential and contract-grade fabrics for furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, and large retailers. 2nd and 3rd shift do receive a shift premium of $1.00. We offer a $50 attendance bonus for every two weeks in which you miss no time, not including our shutdown periods. This bonus would provide an extra $0.62 to your hourly rate.

Stay current with all more filling calls. Help prevent looms from standing.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1.
Safety:
Perform all duties in a safe manner following guidelines established by Valdese Weavers. Report all job related injuries and safety hazards to the supervisor immediately. Actively participate in safety programs that identify, investigate, and correct safety hazards. 2.
Attendance:
Maintain personal attendance practices to meet established company goals. 3.
Work Ethics:
Maintain personal work habits, which meet the demands and stresses of the job. Meet deadlines and production quotas. Get along with co-workers. Follow instructions. Including shift start/stop times and breaks schedules. Work scheduled overtime.
Duties:
Perform the following duties according to
IS0 9001
work instructions and standards: View computer monitor for more fill calls for assistance. Prioritize them when taking them out to the Weaveroom. Check to ensure correct lbs. are taken out. Make sure proper transactions are done in SAP as per ISO Work Instructions. Record more filling call/ticket filler in the computer.
OTHER JOB ELEMENTS
Keep the computer work area clean and floor swept. Perform other duties when needed or assigned by Supervisor. This includes all 5S assignments.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND SKILLS NEEDED TO PERFORM JOB
Basic reading, writing, and math skills Must be able to discern colors and pass a color blindness test. Must be willing and able to work six to seven days per week when scheduled. Must have a license to operate PIT equipment. (i.e.cherry picker, etc.)
