How you will make an Impact (Job Summary) SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a Crater, you have an important role in meeting customer expectations in quality and on time delivery. What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities) While each day brings new opportunities at SPX, your core responsibilities will be: 1. Safety Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business.
Maintain clean, orderly work area.
Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor. 2. Material Management Prepare finished goods for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
Transport materials and finished product to the appropriate work area utilizing hand trucks, forklifts, and other mechanical devices.
Perform preventative maintenance on foam machine and other equipment as needed.
Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs. 3. Quality Review orders for quality and accuracy.
Confirm documents, shipping details or special instructions are complete and accurate.
Follow processes for expedite shipments affecting the production schedule. 4. Culture Desire to do the right thing.
Team player, assisting other team members and departments as needed with other duties not routine to position
Punctual, on time, ready to work, every day What we are looking for (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education) We each bring something to the table, and we are looking for someone who has: Required Experience 1 year experience in construction/shipping/manufacturing environment Preferred Experience, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong math skills and ability to use/read tape measurements
Comfortable with hand tools, pneumatic air tools, and overhead cranes
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Able to communicate verbally and in writing
Attention to detail
Process improvement mindset
Puts safety first
