Warehouse - Day Shift

Day shift position available

• From 7:30 am-3:00 pm.

Monday through Saturday with Tuesdays off. Dependability is KEY! Shift end time can vary based on workload and tasks available.

This is a FAST-paced environment, and we need someone who can stay calm under pressure and have a good attitude while doing their job accurately.

Job Duties-Receiving incoming goods, including accurately verifying contents and quality of delivery and storing product in the appropriate location

• Accurately picking proper product type and quantity from coolers and warehouse, and placing them in the delivery area
• Staging orders for delivery, palletizing orders and loading the pallets onto trucks according to proper zone, location, and established standards
• Handling products and building pallets according to established food safety procedures (e.g. visual inspection of the product for damages, proper placement on pallets to minimize cross-contamination and damage)
• Assisting walk-in customers with order selection and loading product into customers vehicles
• Communicates with the management team regarding any issues (e.g. products, out of stocks, safety issues, food safety concerns)
• Inventory control, including calculating quantities of product on partial pallets based on the number of items in a layer on the pallet
• You may be asked to assist with the preparation (cutting, slicing, dicing) of fresh vegetables
• Maintaining a clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and walkways neat; maintenance of loading dock and supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Terrific communication, inventory control, organization skills, and time management are all important in this position
• Completing other tasks as requested by management.

Requirements

• Knowledge of how to operate warehousing equipment such as an electric pallet jack, pallet racking, yard ramps, and carts
• High level of quality control and accuracy; strong attention to detail
• Ability to regularly lift and carry 50-90 lbs
• Fluent English is an absolute requirement. Speaking, understanding, writing, and reading

• The ability to maintain team relationships and problem solve quickly
• Clean criminal history. No felonies; some misdemeanors may be accepted. A background check will be made
• The ability to pass a drug screen all employees must fulfill all regular drug screen requests made by HR and follow the safety code guidelines.

This includes marijuana.
