E-Bike Sales Associate

Required experience: background in cycling, bicycles sales or service, general knowledge of bicycle and e-bike technology. Applicants with no relevant bicycle experience will be overlooked. If you have non traditional experience, let us know! The salesperson is the first point of contact for customers. As such, it is your duty to immediately present your best, most helpful self and guide each customer through their experience at River City. You are the face and voice of our brand, and it is your expertise, enthusiasm for our work, and positive personality that make River City the destination bike shop that it is. Your primary focus is always the customer. Your other workplace responsibilities should always be set aside in order to assist anyone who walks into the store. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Helping customers in the store Selling bicycles, components, and accessories. This is your primary function at the shop, and you should feel familiar and comfortable with all the bikes we sell Commitment to learning as much as you can about the products we stock Tracking and managing special orders, layaways, and sales from start to finish Answering phone calls, and directing them to the appropriate department as needed. Cleaning the store and keeping the sales floor and other shop spaces organized and good-looking Restocking products from backstock onto the sales floor Communicating with service/shipping/receiving/warranty/office staff to insure smooth operation of these interconnected departments Open flexibility to do what needs to be done when directed by management If you have no pressing tasks at hand, you should seek out something to do: cleaning, restocking, inventory counting, or whatever else management suggest Checking Eddy and work email every workday Understanding and utilizing our electronic inventory system to check stock and maintain inventory accuracy 4-5 days a week, always includes 1 weekend day Employee Benefits Hourly rate $21-24 depending on experience Providence health insurance would begin on the first of the month, after your initial date of hire. The cost to the employee is currently $153.56/mo for 2026. Dental $40.80/mo ($1500 plan) $58.01 ($3000 plan), vision $7.08/mo, and AFLAC (cost varies) are paid solely by the employee if you elect coverage. All monies deducted from your check for health/dental/vision/AFLAC would be deducted on a pre-tax basis. PTO begins accruing on day one, at the rate of 80 hours per year. Safe Harbor Matching 401(K) will start on your date of hire. We will match up to 4%, if you contribute 4%..it's a dollar for dollar match up to 4% T.
