Job Description

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Shipping Specialist to join our team in DeForest, WI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for packaging and repackaging of items, shipping, and recieving. This is a hands-on position requiring , attention to detail, organization, and a strong focus on safety and quality. Daily
  • Learn how to locate and package items for safe shipment to customers
  • Interpret Orders and Work Instructions to successfully complete shipments
  • Ability to use many shipping programs at once to decide what shipping method is most suitable for the shipment being prepared
  • Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with multiple coworkers to efficiently complete job tasks
  • Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of items
  • Inventory keep stock items and items for upcoming shipments
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area following company safety standards
  • Maintain equipment that is needed for shipping of shipments
  • Monitor machinery for proper performance and report any issues or malfunctions
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment as instructed
  • Housekeeping duties to keep facility clean and orderly
  • In downtime additional tasks will be assigned, mainly tasks to help other positions. Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
  • Comfortable working with metal materials and power equipment
  • Able to do quick construction type math on the go (adding and subtracting numbers under 100 and fractions down to 1/32")
  • Ability to read and interpret measuring tools (tape measure down to a 1/32 of an inch)
  • Ability to wear proper PPE
  • Ablility to lift 50lbs often and stand for extended periods
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
Schedule:
8 hour shift Monday thru Friday Day Shift Hours 7:00a to 3:30p

$17.00 per hour
