The successful candidate will have the ability to interact with staff (at all levels) in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and process Purchase Orders for Work/Repair Order or Shop, ensuring accuracy in terms of product specifications, pricings, and delivery schedules. Research potential approved vendors. Negotiate terms with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules and payment to secure best deal for the company. Review inventories and order as required. Coordinate with vendor when an order is found to have discrepancies i.e. missing, incomplete, wrong deliveries or missing documents. Assist other departments as needed. Assist mechanics and managers in providing pricing and availability of products. Create and maintain good relationships with vendors. Providing status of orders to respective departments. Maintain tools and materials in the tool crib.
