Job Description
Judge Direct Placement is seeking a Purchasing Manager in Livingston, CA area!
Responsibilities :
Lead cost-reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, supply chain optimization, product innovation, and process improvements. Define and implement supplier performance KPIs; conduct regular business reviews to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure full compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical sourcing standards. Develop and execute category strategies for key spend areas to optimize total cost of ownership and strengthen supplier partnerships. Mentor and develop team members by leveraging individual strengths, providing coaching, and supporting professional growth. Direct and oversee all purchasing activities to meet operational requirements and achieve sourcing objectives. Reduce total acquisition costs by negotiating and managing bids, purchase orders, and long-term contracts for indirect materials, MRO, and site services. Utilize data analytics and market intelligence to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance procurement decision-making. Partner with Finance and Operations to align procurement strategies with broader business goals. Drive continuous improvement and departmental performance using Lean and Six Sigma methodologies. Negotiate and manage a portfolio of 100+ supplier master agreements across multiple categories and plant locations. Support risk management efforts related to contractor insurance, safety compliance, chemical compliance, and reporting requirements. Standardize procurement processes, contract terms, and payment structures across business units and platforms. Leverage SAP and Microsoft Office tools for procurement operations, tracking, and reporting. Lead cross-functional initiatives and special projects as required.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required 5+ years procurement experience with Indirect Supplies/MRO/Site Services Strong negotiation skills, knowledge of business law, and experience creating service and supply contracts. Proficiency in MS Office applications and advanced Excel skills. Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex data.
