Job Description:
The Purchasing Assistant plays a key role in supporting the purchasing and procurement team by managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely product delivery. This role involves extensive coordination with suppliers in China, frequent use of Mandarin and English, and close collaboration with internal teams to track product availability and delivery timelines.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, process, and manage purchase orders while maintaining accurate purchasing records and documentation. Communicate with suppliers in China to track orders, confirm delivery timelines, and resolve discrepancies or delays. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure efficient inventory management and product availability. Assist with inventory checks , cost analysis, and maintaining up-to-date data. Monitor supplier performance, ensuring compliance with agreed terms and timelines. Identify and follow up on any discrepancies, delays, or quality issues. Support improvement initiatives to streamline purchasing processes.Qualifications:
Understanding of Purchasing Processes:
Ability to follow established procedures and suggest process improvements. Experience withPurchase Orders:
Skilled in creating, reviewing, and tracking orders, with strong attention to detail.Bilingual Communication Skills:
Fluent in both Mandarin and English for effective communication with suppliers and internal teams.Technical Proficiency:
Familiarity with office software (Excel, Word, email) and ability to learn purchasing or ERP systems.Strong Organizational Skills:
Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Education:
Associate Degree required.Work Commitment:
Ability to work on-site in City of Industry, CA, and contribute to daily purchasing operations.
