Full-Time Salary Range:
$100,000-$110,000 annually Superior Duct Fabrication is looking for an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our team at our corporate office in Pomona, California . Reporting to the Director of Purchasing , the Purchasing Manager will oversee day-to-day purchasing activities, strengthen supplier relationships, and help ensure materials are available to support production, inventory requirements, and customer commitments across our multiple locations. We're looking for someone who is organized, analytical, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. What You'll Do Manage day-to-day purchasing of materials, supplies, equipment, and services Review material requirements, inventory levels, production needs, and purchasing trends Ensure purchase orders are accurate and issued on time Monitor open POs and proactively address shortages, late deliveries, pricing discrepancies, and supplier issues Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, freight, and other commercial terms Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers Evaluate supplier performance based on cost, quality, service, responsiveness, and on-time delivery Identify alternative suppliers to reduce supply-chain risk and improve competitive pricing Partner with Inventory, Operations, and Production to maintain appropriate material availability Analyze purchasing and inventory data to identify cost-saving and process-improvement opportunities Support vendor consolidation and leverage company-wide purchasing volume Track purchasing KPIs, supplier performance, and documented cost savings Help standardize purchasing processes across company locations Partner with Accounting to resolve PO, receiving, invoice, and pricing discrepancies What We're Looking For 5+ years of purchasing, procurement, sourcing, or supply-chain experience Experience managing suppliers and negotiating pricing and commercial terms Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory management, and material planning Experience working with ERP or inventory management systems Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills Excellent organization, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment Preferred Experience HVAC, sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction materials, or related industry experience Experience purchasing raw materials such as sheet metal, coils, hardware, and manufacturing supplies Multi-facility or multi-branch purchasing experience Strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and cost-reduction experience Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience If you're a purchasing professional who enjoys negotiating, developing strong supplier partnerships, improving processes, and ensuring operations have the materials they need to succeed, we'd love to hear from you.
