Pay DOE Position Summary We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Warehouse & Procurement Manager to oversee inventory operations, purchasing, vendor relationships, and warehouse activities that support our growing fiber internet construction and service operations. This role is responsible for ensuring materials are available when needed, maintaining accurate inventory records, managing warehouse personnel and processes, and securing cost-effective products and services from suppliers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, experienced in inventory management and procurement, and capable of building strong vendor relationships while maintaining efficient warehouse operations. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Management Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, issuing, and tracking materials and equipment. Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular cycle counts and audits. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock is available to support field crews and operational needs. Organize warehouse layout and storage systems to maximize efficiency and safety. Coordinate material deliveries, transfers, and returns. Procurement & Purchasing Source and purchase materials, equipment, tools, and supplies needed for company operations. Obtain competitive pricing and negotiate favorable terms with vendors and suppliers. Monitor purchasing trends and identify opportunities for cost savings. Create and manage purchase orders and track order status through delivery. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships. Inventory Control Analyze inventory usage and forecast future material requirements. Develop and maintain inventory procedures and best practices. Minimize inventory shortages, overstock situations, and material waste. Track material movement and ensure proper documentation of inventory transactions. Vendor Management Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, distributors, and manufacturers. Resolve purchasing, delivery, and quality issues with suppliers. Research and identify new vendors to improve pricing, quality, and availability. Reporting & Compliance Prepare inventory and purchasing reports for management. Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory levels, and vendor agreements. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and procurement procedures. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in warehouse management, inventory control, procurement, or a related field. Experience managing inventory systems and purchasing processes. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and inventory management software. Excellent communication and vendor negotiation skills. Ability to analyze data and make cost-effective purchasing decisions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment as needed. Valid driver's license preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience in telecommunications, fiber optic construction, utilities, or related industries. Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and inventory control methodologies. Experience with ERP, inventory, or procurement management systems.
