Job Description
Job Description Overview A leading engineering, construction, and industrial project organization is seeking Project Procurement Managers to support a rapidly growing portfolio of large-scale industrial and power projects. Due to significant backlog and continued growth, multiple hires are planned throughout the year. This role is ideal for someone who wants to be embedded directly on major projects and own procurement strategy from project inception through execution rather than operate at a purely executive level. Projects can range from hundreds of millions to over $1B+ in value. Responsibilities Develop procurement strategy during the early stages of major projects Review owner contracts and understand procurement obligations and flow-down requirements Build and implement procurement execution plans Lead solicitation, RFP, and bid processes Identify, qualify, and evaluate subcontractors and suppliers Support procurement teams through vendor selection and award recommendations Negotiate large subcontract and supplier agreements Develop and maintain contract templates and procurement documentation Manage commercial risk and contractual negotiations Oversee contract performance and issue resolution throughout project execution Lead procurement efforts for large capital construction projects Support teams ranging from 2-10 procurement professionals depending on project size Interface with project leadership, legal teams, contractors, suppliers, and owners Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 5-15+ years of procurement, sourcing, contracts, subcontract management, or supply chain experience Experience supporting EPC, industrial construction, power generation, energy, utilities, infrastructure, or large capital projects Strong contract and commercial negotiation experience Experience developing procurement strategies for major projects Experience managing subcontracts and vendor relationships Experience supporting projects valued at $100M+ preferred Preferred Qualifications Power generation or power plant experience Utility industry experience Large-scale EPC project experience Turner Construction, JE Dunn, or similar general contractor background Commercial contracts or legal review experience Experience supporting billion-dollar projects Relocation Package Full moving expenses covered House-hunting trip Lease-break assistance Lump-sum relocation support Tiered relocation package based on career level Interview Process Round 1: Virtual Interview Round 2: Onsite Interview Offer Decision Why Someone Would Be Interested Opportunity to support some of the largest industrial projects in North America Direct ownership over procurement strategy and execution Strong career growth due to significant project backlog Large-scale projects ranging from hundreds of millions to billions of dollars Excellent benefits and relocation support We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
