National Strategic Sourcing Manager (1750) Position SummaryThe National Strategic Sourcing Manager plays a critical role in advancing enterprise-wide procurement strategy by developing and managing high-value regional and national supplier relationships. This role partners closely with the Director of National Strategic Sourcing and Corporate VP of Purchasing to drive cost optimization, value creation, and supply chain excellence across divisions. The position serves as a key connector between corporate strategy and division execution, ensuring alignment, consistency, and continuous improvement in sourcing practices.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Supplier Management
  • Develop, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships with regional and national suppliers, subcontractors, manufacturers, and distributors
  • Identify and define optimal inbound supply chain of products and suppliers for category coverage
  • Lead sourcing initiatives across key spend categories, delivering cost savings, improved service levels, and risk mitigation. Own new product rollout process including contracting and option code strategies
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, innovations, and opportunities that impact sourcing strategies and product offerings
  • Evaluate supplier performance and drive accountability through KPIs, scorecards, and continuous improvement initiativesContracting & Negotiation
  • Negotiate and execute national and regional agreements on behalf of operating divisions
  • Identify and implement rebate programs and value-added supplier incentives; manage renewals and new opportunities in partnership with Corporate Purchasing
  • Ensure contracts align with company objectives, compliance standards, and operational needsCross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Division Purchasing Leaders to ensure adoption and execution of national agreements and sourcing strategies. Engage in recurring field visits with divisions to drive better "boots on the ground" understanding
  • Act as a liaison between corporate leadership and divisions to communicate product updates, supplier changes, and market intelligence
  • Support Design Center optimization efforts, including product selections and enhancements aligned with strategic sourcing goalsProgram & Process Management
  • Manage rebate tracking systems (e.g., RebatePros or similar tools) and ensure accurate reporting and financial capture
  • Continuously monitor supplier offerings, manufacturer updates, and market shifts to proactively adjust sourcing strategies
  • Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, standardization, and scalability across the procurement function
