- Leads the strategy and spend management for supply and indirect/purchased services.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Develops and implements spend management processes and strategies for spend categories to include: sourcing strategies by leading cross-functional teams of leaders and end-users, overseeing and completing implementation of defined strategies, identifying and developing cost reduction ideas and initiatives, reducing unnecessary variation, and ensuring system alignment to identified standards. + Provides oversight and guidance for developing negotiation strategies and finalizing contracts which provide the organization with optimal value and meet the organizational service, quality and pricing expectations. Monitors compliance with system contracts and engages leaders as appropriate to resolve unfavorable variances. + Aligns with system and clinical leaders to support and co-create strategies that advance functional areas. Ensures alignment across impacted and supporting shared service functions. + Builds working relationships with supplier sales and executive leadership and plans routine performance reviews with key suppliers and internal stakeholders to evaluate supplier performance and make recommendations to address issues and maximize opportunities. + Facilitates product standardization and conversion processes including clinical trials, evaluations, and cost savings analyses. Provides complete cross reference information to stakeholders. + Coordinates required technology reviews and related interface costs, timelines, and recommendations. Ensures interface technology costs are included in life cycle cost projections and decisions. Oversees process for introduction of any new technology. + Recruits, engages, develops, leads, and manages assigned staff. + Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceEXPERIENCE
+ Five years' experience with demonstrated leadership responsibilityPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
+ Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements. + Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors. + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. + Frequent keyboard use/data entry. + Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. + Rare climbing.REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
