The Director of Sourcing, Upholstery will optimize sourcing and company growth objectives by delivering global strategies that focus on strategic supplier collaboration, competitive advantage and customer satisfaction. They will drive strategies that ensure supplier accountability and support business objectives in terms of cost, service, quality and sustainability. This role will oversee the Upholstery division and report to our Vice President of Sourcing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Build, lead and develop (teaching) a global Sourcing center of excellence balancing cost, quality, and continuity of supply and service. Evaluate the current sourcing operation and drive change by building alignment and developing strong relationships with relevant stakeholders. Build and refine the vendor matrix including evaluating current and potential sourcing partners. Develop and execute the Annual Sourcing Effectiveness Plan. Direct negotiations of major procurements, with suppliers. Participate in setting strategy and conducting negotiations for the larger and more critical projects, as needed. Set goals and objectives that lead to increasing levels of value delivery for the team and overall Global Sourcing. Create global sourcing strategy to enhance cross functional results internally and externally. Manage liaisons with vendors and maintain quality relationships. Streamline integration from sourcing, vendor management, cost negotiation, product development, testing, production, logistics and distribution. Generate vendor evaluation matrix including measures of design, cost, delivery, quality, compliance and customer service to reinforce vendor management and development. Make quarterly and annual forecast to improve revenue by customer demands. Develop and supervise sourcing, production and quality assurance personnel. Learn, understand and support the processes associated with supporting our internal/external customers.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree/MBA preferred. Sourcing expert that understands the end-to-end sourcing system, including technical and costing details, product development, vendor matrix management, quality control. Demonstrated record of accomplishment in negotiating complex contracts and supplier execution. Advanced analytical and presentation skills to drive strategy development and execution. Strategic mindset with the ability to communicate vision and gain alignment with senior management/partners both internally and externally. Proven decision-making, problem solving, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have a high level of ethics, integrity, judgment, and confidentiality.
