Job Description
Position Overview DekoRati Interiors is seeking an exceptional Studio Manager & Head of Procurement to join our Pleasanton-based luxury residential interior design studio. This key leadership role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented professional who takes genuine ownership of keeping a sophisticated, founder-led creative business running seamlessly. The Studio Manager & Head of Procurement will serve as the operational backbone of the firm , overseeing studio administration, client billing and financial ,vendor relationships, and procurement and logistics across all projects. This person will have end-to-end ownership of procurement — from vendor sourcing, pricing, and purchase orders through order tracking, receiving, freight, customs when applicable, and final delivery — ensuring every piece is accurately sourced, delivered on time, within budget, and in pristine condition. As the key connection between the design team, clients, vendors, manufacturers, freight partners, warehouses, and studio leadership , this role directly impacts project budgets, timelines, and the overall client experience. Beyond managing tasks, the ideal candidate will own systems and processes, anticipate needs, solve problems proactively, and maintain exceptional follow-through and accountability . They must be comfortable working independently, making sound operational decisions, and knowing when an issue requires the Principal's involvement.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the full procurement lifecycle in the IVY/Houzz platform: sourcing, purchase orders, client proposals, and expediting/tracking through delivery Own vendor relationships — sourcing new vendors, negotiating pricing and trade terms, and maintaining an accurate, current vendor list, pricing, and item catalog Coordinate customs brokerage and import compliance on international purchases: duties and tariffs, import documentation, and working directly with customs brokers and freight forwarders Track shipments end to end, domestic and international — freight, white-glove delivery, receiving, and quality control on arrival Monitor procurement budgets and margins across active projects; flag cost or timeline risk to the Founder & Principal Designer early Route day-to-day purchasing decisions and overall vendor strategy and send to the Founder & Principal Designer. Keep order status, tracking numbers, and delivery timelines current and visible to the design team Own day-to-day studio operations and continually improve administrative systems and processes Manage office expenses, supplies, studio maintenance, service providers, business records, and recurring administrative deadlines Maintain organized digital filing and cloud-based document management systems Coordinate the studio calendar, internal meetings, and cross-team schedulingSKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS 5-7
years of relevant experience in procurement, vendor management, or logistics, ideally within interior design, furnishings, or a related trade Strong working proficiency in the IVY/Houzz platform — comfortable with sourcing, purchase orders, vendor management, and expediting workflows in the platform. If not familiar is willing to learn. High-level, hands-on experience with customs brokerage and international shipping: HTS classification, duties/tariffs, import documentation, and working relationships with brokers and freight forwarders Strong vendor relations and negotiation experience within the interior design or furnishings trade Excellent organizational systems for tracking dozens of concurrent orders across multiple projects without dropped details Warehouse or white-glove receiving/logistics experience is a strong plus Clear, professional written and verbal communication — this role is the connective tissue between vendors, freight partners, and studio leadership Is tech savvy and can learn and implement some of the AI strategies to this role.Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per weekBenefits:
