hybrid 4 dyas a week on-site General Summary The organization is seeking a strategic, hands-on leader to design, build, and lead a new enterprise-wide Strategic Sourcing and Procurement (SPC) function. This role will proactively optimize sourcing decisions, deliver measurable cost savings, strengthen procurement controls and third-party risk management, and support long-term strategic growth. The FVP, Manager, Sourcing and Procurement is accountable for setting the vision, strategy, and execution of the SPC function, including sourcing, contracting, and procurement operations. Responsibilities include developing policies, procedures, organizational structure, systems and tools, templates, approval frameworks, and performance metrics. In parallel, the role independently manages a portfolio of categories, RFPs, and contract negotiations. Initially operating as a team of one, this leader will act as both architect and practitioner-building a scalable, end-to-end procurement lifecycle while partnering closely with Business, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Third-Party Risk, and Vendor Management stakeholders. Strong client service, responsiveness, and collaboration are critical to success. Direct Reports This role will initially have no direct reports. Staffing will expand as the function scales. Key Responsibilities Define and execute the enterprise sourcing and procurement strategy Own sourcing and procurement policies, procedures, systems, tools, templates, approval requirements, and performance metrics Design and implement a streamlined, end-to-end procurement process, including intake, approvals, competitive bidding, contract lifecycle management, renewals, terminations, signatory authority, and payment controls Manage a personal portfolio of categories and business unit engagements, including RFP execution and contract negotiation and drafting Partner with Third-Party Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, and other stakeholders to embed risk and control requirements into sourcing processes Drive continuous improvement through simplification, automation, and process optimization Establish department goals and deliver measurable cost savings, efficiency improvements, and KPI/KRI enhancements Manage centrally owned and sourcing-managed third-party providers in accordance with established risk standards Report to governance committees on program performance, non-compliance, and elevated third-party risks Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship as the function grows Complete all required training in a timely manner Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or related field Advanced degree (MBA or JD) preferred Experience 10-12 years of banking or regulated-industry sourcing and procurement experience, including building programs from the ground up Proven expertise in cost savings identification, category management, RFP leadership, and contract negotiation and drafting Direct experience leading an enterprise sourcing, procurement, and contracting function Strong understanding of regulated business environments and associated risk and compliance requirements Experience managing spend categories beyond transactional procurement Demonstrated success working with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership Experience leading cross-functional and virtual teams Hands-on experience with source-to-pay technologies (e.g., RFP tools, workflow systems, CLM, e-signatures, purchase orders)Similar remote jobs
