Job Description :
We are seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing and supplier-management activities for complex capital equipment and heavy industrial projects. This role will focus heavily on strengthening the supplier base, identifying more competitive sourcing options, negotiating commercial agreements, and improving supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery. The ideal candidate comes from an EPC, industrial construction, mining, cement, power, heavy machinery, or engineered-equipment environment and has experience sourcing fabricated steel, mechanical equipment, and other technically complex components. An engineering degree is not required, but the candidate should be comfortable working in an engineering-driven environment and interpreting technical requirements.
Responsibilities :
Develop and execute sourcing strategies for fabricated steel, mechanical equipment, engineered components, and technical services. Identify, evaluate, qualify, and develop domestic and international suppliers. Benchmark existing suppliers, identify cost-saving opportunities, and strengthen supplier competitiveness. Lead supplier negotiations involving pricing, delivery, warranties, payment terms, and commercial risk. Partner with Engineering, Project Management, Quality, Logistics, Finance, and Legal throughout the procurement process. Lead and develop the purchasing team while tracking supplier performance, savings, quality, and delivery metrics.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field. 8+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience. Experience sourcing heavy industrial equipment, fabricated steel, mechanical equipment, or capital-project materials. Background in EPC, industrial construction, mining, cement, power, machinery, or similar heavy industrial environment strongly preferred. Strong supplier-development and commercial-negotiation experience. Ability to interpret technical specifications and work effectively with engineering and project teams.
