The Sourcing and Contracting Manager Senior is responsible for strategic planning across all supplies and purchased services used in perioperative operations, with a strong focus on physician‑preference items and physician satisfaction. You will proactively identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes and reduce costs, forecast supply and service utilization, evaluate new product and service requests, manage expiring contracts, and ensure the VAT seven‑step process is consistently applied to maximize value for PHS Perioperative departments. This role also chairs the Perioperative Value Analysis Team (VAT), requiring strong leadership and communication skills to guide critical thinking, strategic planning, and consensus‑building among physicians, clinical staff, and operational leaders. You will provide enterprise‑wide coordination to drive standardization and alignment across perioperative supplies and clinical purchased services. You will also manage new product and service requests, conduct industry research and clinical studies, coordinate product trials, and collaborate with senior leaders—including the President, PMG, and VP of Population Health and Value Transformation —when evaluating clinical need or communicating decisions. This role significantly influences enterprise‑wide initiatives, supports senior executive leadership, drives cost savings and quality improvements, mitigates risk, and ensures compliance with PHS policies and procedure Key Responsibilities Lead strategic sourcing and contracting for perioperative supplies and purchased services across the PHS enterprise. Identify opportunities to improve clinical outcomes, reduce costs, and forecast supply and service utilization. Chair the Perioperative Value Analysis Team (VAT) and drive consensus among physicians, clinical staff, and operational leaders. Manage the full VAT process, including analytics, stakeholder engagement, RFIs/RFPs, evaluations, and recommendations. Draft, negotiate, and implement contracts, including supplier conversions and new product/service rollouts. Oversee new product and service requests, conduct industry research, and coordinate clinical trials. Collaborate with senior executives and physician leaders to evaluate clinical needs and communicate decisions. Ensure standardization and alignment of perioperative supplies and clinical purchased services across the enterprise. Support enterprise cost‑savings, quality improvement, and risk‑mitigation initiatives. Maintain compliance with PHS policies and procedures while supporting physician satisfaction and operational excellence.Preferences:

Bachelor's degree required (an additional 6 years of experience may substitute); MBA preferred 5 years of experience in healthcare supply chain or related industry 5 years of experience in Peri‑Op value analysis, negotiating, contracting, purchasing, or legal contracting, with the ability to lead both tactical and strategic negotiations Strong Peri‑Op product knowledge, including product use, disease states, pricing structures, and revenue/margin impacts High proficiency in financial analytics and data‑driven decision‑making Must be in good standing or able to complete certification within one year in one or more of the following: CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma, Project Management, or a related supply chain/project management field All benefits-eligible Presbyterian employees receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, short-term and long-term disability, group term life insurance and other optional voluntary benefits.
