Full Job Description Summary of Job Description:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for the strategic sourcing strategy related to the products within its assigned category. This position develops and executes the selection and evaluation of suppliers, and negotiates for assigned PRG product categories This position ensures that the suppliers selected fit Panda's culture and philosophy, have the necessary capacity, and provide the items at the best price and the specified quality.Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for development and execution of the 10-step strategic sourcing process for assigned product categories in support of its business strategy and plan. Identifies suppliers and arranges optimal contracts in terms of pricing, quality, timing, and supply availability over the term of the contract. Advises SCM Leadership Team on the availability of specific products and pricing, pre-qualifying new suppliers and facilities in terms of price, safety, capacity, and quality. Ensures costs are within budget. Responsible for supplier development, evaluating suppliers for new product lines and gains a deeper understanding of commodities Evaluating second sources for risk mitigation and increasing competition. Informs the SCM leadership on any industry issues, such as government regulations, Act of God situations, mergers, acquisitions, personnel changes, new item introduction, etc. Collaborates with FSQA concerning the viability of their product and acceptability of their manufacturing facility. Collaborates with Supply Management team to bring products into distribution and resolves escalated supplier issues. Establishes and maintains strategic supplier relationships to ensure a strong supply chain and minimize potential disruptions. Communicates with suppliers concerning all aspects of the partnership including PRG philosophy and growth plans and aligns suppliers with Panda to support our growth. Responsible for supplier performance; collaborate with cross-functional team to conduct business review to evaluate the effectiveness and fitness of suppliers to determine our strategic sourcing strategy. Supports cross-functional projects with other departments and Operation related to product specifications, quality inquiries, product recalls, sourcing and testing new products. Collaborates with the PMO and other teams to support product Operation Tests, Market Tests, and LTOs by negotiating pricing, selecting suppliers, and coordinating with suppliers on execution timelines and unique raw materials. Supports company special events in terms of sponsorship and procurement. Provides products for events as requested. May solicit suppliers as potential sponsors of charity events. Supports global sourcing of products for both domestic and international operations as needed. Responsible to fully understand assigned categories as a commodity expert. Leads business critical decisions, tracks commodities markets on prices and supply and determines strategy and direction for optimal strategic sourcing program.How we reward you:

- Benefits available for eligible permanent full time associates Your background & experience: Bachelor's degree required; CPSM certification preferred 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, preferably in a multi-unit food service and/or manufacturing organization.
Pay Range:
