Job Description
TEiC is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Buyer to lead strategic procurement and sourcing activities supporting industrial construction, maintenance, outage, and specialty projects across the power generation and heavy industrial markets. This is not a transactional purchasing role. We are looking for a procurement professional who can develop sourcing strategies, lead commercial negotiations, manage supplier relationships, mitigate risk, and influence project success from proposal development through project closeout. You will serve as a trusted business partner to project teams and leadership while driving supplier performance, cost competitiveness, schedule execution, and commercial compliance. What You'll Do Lead sourcing and procurement activities for complex materials, equipment, subcontract, and service requirements. Develop and execute project-specific sourcing strategies that support cost, quality, and schedule objectives. Evaluate and qualify suppliers and subcontractors while building long-term strategic relationships. Lead competitive bid events, commercial evaluations, supplier selection, and award recommendations. Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, delivery commitments, and contractual agreements. Manage procurement schedules and proactively expedite critical materials, documentation, and services. Partner closely with Operations, Estimating, Legal, Finance, Quality, Scheduling, and Project Teams to support proposal development and project execution. Resolve supplier performance issues, contract disputes, non-conformances, warranty matters, and commercial risks. Drive continuous improvement initiatives and supplier performance programs that strengthen procurement effectiveness across the organization. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and industry experience. 5+ years of procurement, purchasing, subcontracting, or supply chain experience within construction, industrial services, manufacturing, energy, or a related industry. Experience independently managing complex procurement activities and commercial negotiations. Strong understanding of supplier management, contract administration, procurement risk, and sourcing strategy. Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to influence stakeholders and drive decisions across cross-functional teams. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the organization.
