Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a Materials Management/Purchasing Manager to join our team. The Materials Management/Purchasing Manager manages the daily operations of the Materials Management department; serving as the primary "go to" person and resource to answer questions and address issues pertaining to the hospital's purchasing, receiving, and materials management departments...
POSITION SUMMARY
Manages the daily operations of the Materials Management department; serving as the primary "go to" person and resource to answer questions and address issues pertaining to the hospital's purchasing, receiving, and materials management departments. Lead projects associated with PRH's supply chain efforts, in collaboration regional and system supply chain resources, GPOs and other organizations. Assists the CFO in hiring of employees for the area, performance evaluations and dismissal when appropriate. Responsible for communicating defined expectations to the staff and providing or developing the support, skill set and competencies needed for the roles. The Manager assists the CFO in staff development and identifying the strengths of the staff. Assists the CFO in coaching, mentoring and staff recognition. Responsible for ensuring the department is staffed in accordance with established guidelines, with quality and patient safety expectations in mind. Lead the PRH supply chain in standardization, utilization efforts including the review of new technology, new processes and cost reduction efforts.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION A
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Experience may be accepted in lieu of a bachelor's degree. Three to five years related work experience is required. Experience using computers, must be proficient utilizing Microsoft Office suite of products.
