CTSP Program Director
Job Description
Job Requirements Summary:
The CTSP Program Director designs, leads, expands, and evaluates the Child Trafficking Solutions Project across Alabama. This leadership role oversees programmatic operations, grant outcomes, volunteer networks, and multidisciplinary steering committees to build statewide capacity for preventing, recognizing, and responding to child trafficking.
Minimum Education and Work Experience:
Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Education, or Criminal Justice preferred. Extensive, proven experience in human trafficking prevention/intervention may substitute for a Master's degree. Prior work in victim services, juvenile justice, law enforcement, or community organizing is highly recommended.
Required Licenses/Certifications:
Licensed or license eligible, if applicable to degree. Valid Alabama driver license and auto insurance minimum liability 100/300.

Proficient with communication and presentation tools (PowerPoint, Canva, Constant Contact, online apps).

Relationship Building:
Connecting with community stakeholders, public and private sector agencies.

Adaptability:
Adjusting training and program models for different audiences and communities.
•
People Management:
Experience guiding diverse professional teams, contractors, and volunteers.
•
Cultural Competence:
Demonstrated proficiency working with diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds.
Required Internal Certification/Trainings:
Bi-annual TB skin test/medical report; annual background check; and DHR Mandatory Reporting training.
List any physical requirements:
Regular travel across Alabama for training events, task force meetings, and community engagement. Light lifting (e.g., training materials, banners) may occasionally be required. Essential Functions of Position 1. Program Leadership & Strategic Growth

Direct Operations:
Lead the planning, daily management, and strategic expansion of CTSP services.
•
Model Implementation:
Deploy and enhance the CTSP community engagement model to foster coordinated, community-based responses.
•
Network Building:
Expand the "Trafficking Free Zone" community initiatives across the state.
•
Trauma-Informed Practice:
Embed deep trauma-informed care principles into all daily operations and community strategies. 2. Fiscal Responsibility & Grant Management
•
Grant Compliance:
Monitor funding streams to guarantee all grant provisions, metrics, and outcomes are met.
•
Sustainability Support:
Partner with CAS leadership to identify, secure, and maintain long-term funding and new grant opportunities. 3. Statewide Training & Curricula Development
•
Educational Strategy:
Create and launch statewide training initiatives targeting priority agencies, professionals, parents, and the public using a collaborative approach with subject matter experts.
•
Curriculum Design:
Identify, adapt, and build cutting-edge training curricula tailored to diverse audiences.
•
Capacity Building:
Train and mentor others to build expert-level training competencies across Alabama. 4. Community Coalition & Systems Collaboration
•
High-Level Representation:
Serve as the face of CTSP on human trafficking tasks forces, coalitions and alliances (such as
USDOJ, AL
Anti-Trafficking Alliance).
•
Systems Integration:
Collaborate with school systems, DHR, courts, healthcare networks, child advocacy centers, and law enforcement to improve coordinated anti-trafficking response.
•
Resource Management:
Recruit, train, coordinate, and evaluate staff, contractors, and volunteers. 5. Agency Operations & Quality Improvement
•
Internal Alignment:
Participate actively in supervisory check-ins and monthly CAS staff meetings and other trainings required by CAS.
•
Accreditation Standards:
Champion the Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) process and support Council on Accreditation (COA) re-accreditation efforts.
•
Agency Support:
works in concert with CAS leadership and CTSP steering committee members. This leadership transition marks a period of intentional growth and long-term stability for the organization. As our founding Program Director transitions into a new strategic role within CTSP at the end of the year, the incoming leader will benefit from a seamless onboarding process, deep historical continuity, and direct collaborative support to ensure sustained project impact.
Pay:
$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
