Job Description
Job Summary The Education Guide plays a vital role in facilitating learning experiences and supporting students in their educational journeys. This position requires a passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering an engaging and supportive environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse Tk-3rd grade learners, ensuring that each student receives personalized guidance tailored to their unique needs. Responsibilities In partnership with Program Founder, the Education Guide is responsible for the education of assigned TK-3rd grade students and will support/create, an individualized and flexible program favorable for learning and personal growth. The guide will support instruction based on the California Common Core State Standards and will address studentneeds for academic intervention and enrichment. The guide will be considerate of the curriculum use of students who attend the program and ensure that instruction is in line with the skills being taught when not in the program. As the program follows a program philosophy which is centered in Reggio Emilia principles and is strongly rooted in best practices in child development, the education guide will work to ensure that the instruction, interactions and approach are in alignment with the principles set forth by the program. Experience Proven experience in teaching or educational roles is highly desirable; CA teaching credential preferred Strong leadership skills demonstrated through previous roles or volunteer experiences. Excellent public speaking capabilities, with the ability to engage audiences effectively. Exceptional customer service skills, ensuring positive interactions with students and families. Effective time management skills, enabling the successful juggling of various tasks and responsibilities. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and effectively.
