Program Support (Assistant) Inglewood, CA Job Details Part-time $20.62 - $22.76 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Urdu Microsoft Word Mandarin Spanish Microsoft Excel Arabic Cantonese Unloading Vietnamese Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Korean Driver's License Receiving shipments Farsi Tagalog Logistics inventory management Clerical experience Communication skills Armenian Entry level Khmer Full Job Description Role and Responsibilities The Program Support provides support services to promote effective and efficient operations of the Prevention Department's Health Intervention Program (HIP) Unit. Primary duties will focus on monitoring and maintaining storage supplies and sites, with additional support for units and departments as needed. This position is expected to come into the office and must have a personal vehicle for in-person meetings, supply loading, and/ or the transportation of contract-related packages and documentation. This position is under the overall supervision of the Department Administrator. Key Responsibilities (70%):
  • Coordination and organization of program and office supplies, inventory organization and maintenance, as well as tracking and monitoring across multiple storage sites on an ongoing basis.
  • Daily monitoring and tracking of incoming/outgoing supply orders and deliveries, including staff supply requests.
  • Unloading and loading supply orders/shipments, and transporting them to designated storage sites.
  • Regular assessment, monitoring, and organization of inventory across multiple storage sites to ensure effective utilization and access by staff.
  • Gathering, picking-up, and/or delivering program supplies to program/event sites as needed.
OTHER ADMINISTRATIVE AND CLERICAL DUTIES AS DIRECTED
(30%):
  • Understand proper use of photocopiers, computers, and printers and assist staff when needed
  • Participate in Agency, Department, and Unit Trainings and Meetings as directed to enhance understanding and representation of work priorities, culture, and values;
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle for in-person meetings, supply loading, and transportation of contract-related materials and documentation. Qualifications and Education Requirements
Minimum:
a high school graduate or GED certificate of education and/or equivalent work experience related to the position.
  • Valid California Driver's License and current automobile liability insurance. California Driver's License and current automobile liability insurance.
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel applications.
  • Able to communicate clearly and professionally Preferred Skills
  • Professional communication skills and takes initiative
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal public policy regarding community health and youth issues.
  • Bilingual or bicultural capabilities with Los Angeles County threshold languages: Arabic, Armenian, Cantonese, Farsi, Urdu, Khmer (Cambodian), Korean, Mandarin, Russian, Spanish, Tagalog, Vietnamese, and other Chinese languages. General Requirements and Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSA's):
  • Permanent resident or U.S. Citizen; proof of work eligibility upon hiring.
  • Must have one (1) year of recovery or a drug-free lifestyle as of the date of the application.
  • Ability to get along well with others, be punctual, pleasant, and tactful with a professional appearance and conduct.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, clients, community organizations, and the general public.
  • Ability to be culturally competent with age groups, gender identity, sexual orientation, spiritual beliefs, socioeconomic status, and diverse cultures.
Soft Skills:
Professional communication and engagement with staff and program participants. Able to treat participants with respect and compassion; able to communicate effectively; able to get along well with multicultural staff and participants. Physical Requirements Moderate Duty This class requires the incumbent to stand or walk most of the time, with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, working, or operating on irregular surfaces; occasional lifting of objects over 25 pounds; and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds. Ascending and descending ladders and staircases will be more frequent. An example is that this position frequently involves moving and organizing agency supplies.
