Job Description

Family Wellness Coordinator Reports to:
TANF Program Supervisor Location:
North Fork, CA Responsibilities:
This full-time, non-exempt position is responsible for the implementation of s education, social, cultural, and physical training programs, and group activities designed towards self-sufficiency following TANF guidelines. This position guides the enhancement of emotional development, well-being, and physical health of Tribal TANF participants as well as members of the greater Tribal community. A Family Wellness Coordinator may be assigned day to day management responsibility for the development and operation of specific programs such as Out-of-Wedlock Pregnancy Prevention, Drug and Alcohol Education and Prevention, Communicable Disease Education, Effective Parenting, Cultural Awareness, and other family/youth empowerment programs and classes during hours of operation in the Family Wellness Youth Activity Center or for programs within a designated geographic service area.
Salary Information :
$49,163 - $70,777 (D.O.E)
Minimum Requirements:
Education - Graduate of an accredited four-year college or university with bachelor's degree in Education, or Social Work, or related field preferred. OR a High School Diploma or GED Equivalency and four (4) years prior work experience is directly related position with similar job responsibilities. Experience - Minimum 3 years prior experience in preventative and/or wellness programs. Skills - Knowledge of Native American Tribes preferred. Knowledge of Tribal TANF and/or TANF Programs. Knowledge of applicable federal, state, county, and local laws, regulations, and requirements. Knowledge of evidence-based wellness and prevention programs. Knowledge of adolescent development, family systems, chemical abuse and dependency, networking, consultation techniques, and practices preferred. Knowledge of business English, proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and basic arithmetic. Skill in operating business computers and office machines, including in a Windows environment, specifically Microsoft Office suite software. Skill in maintaining accurate records. Ability to work effectively with individuals and demonstrate leadership and team-building skills with empathy and enthusiasm. Ability to speak in front of audiences. Ability to effectively present prevention education. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must be willing to travel to service areas within the North Fork/Fresno area.
