Program Coordinator Boys & Girls Clubs of North San Mateo County Pacifica, CA Job Details Part-time $20 - $23 an hour 6 hours ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Childcare CPR Certification Tutoring First Aid Certification Mentoring Safe environment creation Clean workspace maintenance Working with youth Full Job Description Under the direction of the Site Supervisor, the Program Coordinator plans, implements, supervises members and evaluates activities provided within a specific program area, supporting our priority outcome areas of Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, Good Character, and Citizenship. Programs and activities must be organized, fun, meet the developmental needs of youth members and scheduled to ensure maximum participation. Programs must be inclusive, diverse, safe, and consistent with the organization's mission and vision. Prepare Youth for Success Create an environment that facilitates the achievement of
Youth Development Outcomes:
I. Plan, Promote and stimulate program participation II. Provide guidance and role modeling to members, volunteers & Youth Developers III. Ability to communicate enrollment process, support new members joining the organization, and participate in orientation process. Program Development and Implementation
  • Effectively plan and administer programs, services and activities for all members
  • Monitor and evaluate programs, services and activities to ensure safety of members, quality in programs and appearance of the clubhouse at all times.
  • Provide homework support daily
  • Provide programs that respond to member needs and address gender and cultural diversity.
  • Ability to communicate needs of daily routine, program activities and youth Supervision
  • Ensure a productive work environment by participating in all mandatory BGCNSMC meetings and trainings.
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of all Club members
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility Relationships
Internal:
Maintains close, daily contact with Club staff (professional and volunteer), Club members, and supervisor to receive/ provide information, discuss issues, explain guidelines/instructions; instruct; and advise/counsel.
External:
Maintains contact with external community groups, schools, members' parents and others to assist in resolving problems & promote the Club's community presence.
