EMS Corps — Job Training, Mentorship & a Path to a Career in EMS EMS Corps prepares young adults for careers in Emergency Medical Services and Fire by providing EMT training, mentorship, and a monthly stipend during a 5-month program. We've trained hundreds of participants who've gone on to become EMTs, paramedics, nurses, and firefighters. This program is designed for young adults who are currently unemployed or underemployed and face significant barriers to accessing traditional education or career pathways including low income, housing instability, justice system involvement, or lack of a four-year degree. If you're currently working full-time or enrolled in a degree program, this program likely isn't the right fit.
The program includes:
EMT training Ride-along opportunities Life coaching, mentorship, and job readiness training Physical fitness training Monthly stipend during the program Job placement assistance after graduation Eligibility requirements: Age 18-26 Reside in the Riverside area and able to travel daily to the program site High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license, or willing to obtain one within a month of acceptance Currently unemployed, underemployed, or otherwise facing barriers to stable employment (e.g., low income, housing instability, justice involvement, lack of a four-year degree) Apply here: https://riversideemscorps.org/apply/October-2026
