$29-$31/hour Position Summary The Syringe Services Program (SSP) Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of the SSP Drop-In Center. This hands-on position coordinates staff and volunteers, manages inventory and supplies, prepares harm reduction kits, and delivers supplies to SSP participants. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, compassionate, and committed to providing respectful, confidential, and nonjudgmental harm reduction services. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Coordinate daily operations of the SSP Drop-In Center. Schedule SSP employees and ensure appropriate program coverage. Coordinate and support SSP volunteers. Prepare and oversee the assembly of harm reduction kits. Maintain accurate inventory of syringes, naloxone, safer-use materials, and other program supplies. Receive, organize, stock, and monitor program supplies. Anticipate inventory needs and help prevent supply shortages. Prepare and deliver harm reduction supplies to SSP participants. Provide respectful, confidential, and nonjudgmental participant services. Provide harm reduction and overdose prevention information and connect participants with community resources when appropriate. Maintain required program records and documentation. Follow confidentiality, bloodborne pathogen, sharps-handling, and workplace safety procedures. Participate in staff meetings, training, and other program activities as needed. Driving Requirements Because supply delivery is an essential part of this position, the employee must: Possess a valid driver's license. Maintain a driving record that meets organizational requirements. Have access to a reliable, insured vehicle for work-related travel. Maintain automobile insurance and meet the organization's insurability requirements. Be willing and able to deliver supplies throughout the program's service area. Qualifications Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. Ability to coordinate employees, volunteers, inventory, and daily program activities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer and recordkeeping skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries. Commitment to harm reduction and participant autonomy. Ability to work respectfully with people who use drugs and individuals experiencing barriers to traditional services. Fluent in

Spanish Preferred:

Previous experience in syringe services, harm reduction, outreach, public health, social services, staff or volunteer coordination, or inventory management. Knowledge of overdose prevention and naloxone administration is also preferred. Relevant lived experience is valued. Physical & Work Requirements This position requires regular driving and may involve standing, lifting up to 50lbs on a daily basis, transporting supplies, stocking inventory, and working around syringes and other potentially hazardous materials.
