This role works closely with the Program Supervisor to ensure services are delivered in a safe, structured, and engaging environment that meets the diverse needs of participants. The Assistant Program Supervisor serves as a leader on the floor, modeling best practices, supporting staff, and helping maintain compliance with all program standards. Key Responsibilities Program Operations & Support Assist in the coordination and daily oversight of TAP programming and activities Ensure activities are meaningful, engaging, and tailored to participants' cognitive and physical abilities Support implementation of individualized plans and program goals Step in to lead groups or activities as needed Staff Support & Supervision Provide guidance, direction, and real-time support to program staff Assist with staff scheduling, coverage, and daily assignments Model professionalism, strong communication, and best practices Support training of new staff and ongoing coaching Participant Care & Safety Ensure participant safety at all times by monitoring the environment and staff interactions Assist with addressing behavioral or health-related concerns in a timely manner Maintain appropriate staff-to-participant ratios Communicate any incidents, concerns, or updates to the Program Supervisor Documentation & Compliance Assist in ensuring accurate and timely completion of daily documentation Monitor activity logs, attendance, and required program records Support compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies Communication & Collaboration Serve as a liaison between staff and Program Supervisor Communicate program updates, expectations, and changes clearly to staff Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members as needed Program Development Support planning of special events, themed activities, and engagement initiatives Assist in creating a positive, inclusive, and structured program culture Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred Minimum 1-2 years of experience in adult day programs, behavioral health, or a related field Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or similar populations preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, and remain active throughout the shift Ability to assist participants with mobility as needed Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
