We are the largest school district in Santa Barbara County with about 17,500 pre-Kindergarten through 8th grade students. Valid California credential authorizing service as a special education teacher;Clear Education Specialist:
Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe credential; Administrative Credential or Certificate of Eligibility, is required. 2. Minimum five (5) years' teaching experience as a special education teacher. Experience with special education management (Lead Learner, Teacher of Special Assignment, Administrative Designee at IEP meetings, etc.) preferred. 3.Desired Experiences:
Knowledge of current federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to individuals with exceptional needs, especially laws and mandates related to Special Education services, Individualized Education Programs, and Universal Design for Learning and Multi-tier System of Support. Experience with current developments in special education, especially pertaining to curriculum, instruction, behavior intervention, related services, and dispute resolution. 1. Letter of application addressed to Dr. Peter Bland, Assistant Superintendent for Human Resources 2. Current resume 3. Three (3) letters of recommendation written within the past year. 4.
