Employment About Us:
The Gathering Place is an all-girls microschool grounded in curiosity, community, and confidence. We are reimagining what education can look like when girls are placed at the center—with space to be brilliant, bold, and themselves. We blend digital tools, hands-on experiences, and real-world learning to help girls lead their own journeys. We are not your average school. We are small by design, and intentional in everything we do—from our joyful culture to our personalized approach to learning. Who We're Looking For You're nurturing, dependable, and energetic. You know how to hold structure and warmth in the same space. You love seeing children thrive. Maybe you've worked in a classroom, a homeschool pod, a youth program, or another setting where young people needed both support and guidance to grow. You're not here to control learning—you're here to create the conditions for it to flourish. You understand how to coach a student through a tough moment and celebrate a breakthrough, big or small. What You'll Do As a Learning Guide, your role is to walk alongside our students each day, helping them grow both academically and emotionally. Specifically, you will: Support girls (primarily ages 8-14) as they work through their online curriculum (we use Ed Options) at their own pace
  • Help them set daily and weekly goals and track their progress
  • Create a calm, engaging, and organized learning space
  • Model and teach positive communication, emotional regulation, and problem-solving
  • Facilitate morning meetings, reflection time, and small-group activities
