Experience in a K-12 setting preferred.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY
Planning, developing, and implementing academic and enrichment activities for afterschool and summer camp programs for elementary students living in an affordable housing community. Utilizing technological tools and instructional support programs to improve students' educational outcomes. Collaboratively interacting with school staff, property management staff, community partners, parents, students and volunteers to ensure student achievement. Coordinating with federally qualified health clinics to provide wellness education events and health services for residents.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Program Implementation and Quality Assurance:
Design and implement After-School, Summer camps, Wellness and other community programs, including a calendar and budget, within the Star-C model to improve education through affordable housing; Work with the apartment management and families to recruit, enroll and monitor students in the program; Manage day-to-day operations of the programs to ensure compliance; • Assist children with literacy and math skills, assist them with developing interpersonal skills and help them improve their overall academic performance. This will include assisting students with completing assigned homework and preparation for end of grade testing; Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times; Periodic evaluation of all programs with Star-C leadership and stakeholders; Coach, supervise, and promote professional development for program staff; Gather data, conduct observations, and use assessment and feedback for ongoing program improvement
Administrative and Fiscal Management:
Ensure all records are complete, organized, and on file Maintain and submit all required documentation and reports on a timely basis, including program reports and metrics; Participate in all meetings, workshops, and activities organized by
Star-C Personal Qualities:
