ESE Mid-Cabin Aircraft PDT Lead IIin GAC Savannah Unique Skills:
Required:

10+ years experience of direct and cross-functional oversight of aircraft level systems development and integration projects, including technical oversight of supplier performance. Experience with simulators and aircraft build and test readiness support. Experience with FAA (14 CFR Part 25) and/or EASA (CS-25) certification

Preferred:

Knowledge of aircraft systems for Gulfstream, Honeywell, and Rockwell Collins platforms. History of mentoring and training engineers on aircraft design, characteristics, and systems. This position will report directly to the Gulfstream ESE Director and supports Mid-Cabin Program Leadership for detailed program direction. Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree Engineering or related curriculum required. 13 years engineering experience to include at least 5 years program management experience consisting of any combination of supervisory experience or complex program management. Experience credit considered for related adv degrees limited to 2 yrs for Masters, 4 yrs PhD in fields applicable to job.

Position Purpose:

IEF PDT Lead II is dedicated to a specific program or project group and manages specific functional activities within one or more engineering directorates. Position is responsible for the coordination, integration, and management of the specified functional activities required. to support program objectives, including but not exclusive to the development and certification of a new or derivative aircraft, changes to the same, entry into service, and sustaining support for a particular program or project group. This role is to be utilized in the IEF organization only.

Job Description

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:

Reports to functional director and is assigned to a specific program or project group .

Coordinates with chief project engineer to establish and communicate program goals, objectives and priorities .

Coordinates with functional managers to provide the required. skillsets to support program objectives .

Coordinates with functional managers and deployed technical staff to develop a resource loaded plan and integrated schedule to meet program objectives .

Coordinates with other PDT leads to form small cross-functional, integrated teams to execute sub-projects, solve problems, or implement strategic initiatives aligned with higher level goals and objectives .

Tracks and updates project plans and status .

Identifies program barriers and risks and actively manages mitigation plans .

Balances staff and skill mix with functional manager to meet both allocated budget and schedule targets .

Collaborates with functional manager to provide performance feedback and development opportunities for deployed technical professionals assigned to the program or project .

Demonstrates teamwork, ownership, technical rigor, agility, and learning while achieving results for the program and company .

Perform other duties as assigned.
